6’10 – das Akustik-Nebenprojekt von Flatfoot 56 Frontmann Tobin Bawinkel – haben vorgestern ihr neues Album “The Humble Beginnings of a Rovin’ Soul” veröffentlicht. Tobin hat trotzdem Zeit gefunden unseren Fragebogen zu beantworten. Eine neue Runde Nachgefragt…
I am… Tobin Bawinkel of the bands Flatfoot 56 and 6’10.
I would never ever… start a land war in Asia.
I would instantly… Eat Chicago style deep dish pizza and drink sprechers cream soda, every day for the rest of my life. Of course, if I kept this regiment up, my life would become way shorter.
In my next life… I’m gonna be eating Chicago Deep dish pizza and drinking sprechers cream soady every day.
If only I had known… that Germans love bubble water before I chugged it on stage the first time I was there.
It is long overdue… a new record from Cock Sparrer. I know their last one isn’t that old, but they can never come soon enough.
Sex, Drugs & Rock’n’Roll… people still do that stuff?
The first record in my collection… Ghoti Hook- Sumo Surprise.
A band worth seeing live… The Legendary Shack Shakers.
A band I would have loved to see… The Ramones.
The best show we ever played… For Flatfoot, it was Cornerstone Music Festival, when the crowd got so wild during our set that the huge tent we were playing in almost came down on everyones heads. When a crowd gets that crazy you don’t forget it. For 6’10 we played Audio Feed Feed Festival in our home state that was packed. People really loved the set.
The worst show we ever played… For Flatfoot 56, it was a show that we played that turned into a massive bottle fight. It was boneheads vs. anti racist skinheads. The floor looked like snow had fallen when it was done. For 6’10 I think our worst show was just a low attendence night at a club in chicago. Not too many bad ones with 6’10.
The best thing in our bands history… I think the best part of 6’10s history so far is that we have been really able to connect with our fans in a closer way then i think I have ever before. It’s becoming a very awesome experience to have our supporters feel a part of the process and our history. I am excited to see how this developes as the band grows. For Flatfoot, I am proud that there has been a possitive name built over all 14 years of the band. I was always taught that a good name was better then riches. I am thankful that we have been able to keep it real and possitive for so long. Got great guys in the band.
The worst thing in our band history… For Flatfoot we had a time when our bagpiper was hit by a car after a show. He wasn’t seriously hurt, but just a little banged up. It was a pretty great story. For 6’10 things have been pretty awesome so far!
Looking back… I have been a very blessed person to have been given the chance to see so much of the world this early in my life.
In 10 years… I want to tour with both bands to more of the worlds southern hemisphere.
